Firefighters in Los Angeles are grappling with catastrophic wildfires that have claimed lives, destroyed thousands of structures, and forced massive evacuations. Over 130,000 residents have fled their homes as flames, initially fueled by fierce Santa Ana winds, ravaged neighborhoods from Pacific Palisades to Pasadena.

The Pacific Palisades fire, now the most destructive in the city's history, has scorched 16,000 acres and obliterated over 1,000 buildings. Iconic areas like Hollywood Hills face grave threats, with landmarks and celebrity homes among the losses. Although the winds have calmed, providing an opportunity for containment, the battle is far from over.

Nearly 7,500 firefighters, supported by federal aid, are working tirelessly to control the blazes. Authorities stress the importance of heeding evacuation orders as teams race against time to protect lives and infrastructure.

Stay safe and follow updates from official channels as efforts to combat this disaster continue.
